Audi R8

I wasn’t expecting this car at all, it just dropped in and I had to take a picture with the camera phone.

Following my usual process, the car wheels were cleaned with Bilberry Juice. It was then snow foamed and washed the two bucket method before being towel dried off and the tyres dressed.

Audi Needing Paint Correction

Posted on Friday, 20th November 2009 in - Audi, Example Work

The owner of this Audi knows how to clean a car correctly, however he took a short cut a few weeks ago and used a local car wash. The following day he rang me and brought the car in!

After snow foaming and cleaning the wheels, the car it was then washed the two bucket method and brought inside for examination…

These fine scratches were mainly on the boot lid and roof, and had been caused probably by grit in the brush used at the local car wash.

Firstly, I used a product called Meguiars Swirl-X which was easy to put on but very difficult to take off and this corrected the problem about 80%, impressive! This was followed by Autoglym Paint Renovator and Autoglym Deep Shine. Finally it was topped off with Autoglym HD Wax.

Audi Q7

Posted on Monday, 2nd November 2009 in - Audi, Example Work

This was a mammoth task and a mammoth vehicle. It has 22″ alloys and, despite me being 6ft tall, I needed a 2ft platform to be able to reach across the roof!

The customer had asked me to concentrate on the paint because of minor defections and the general lack of shine. After talking to the customer about why the finish was so dull it was apparant that poor washing techniques and poor products were to blame after being badly advised by young lads in a high street car store.
