Audi Q7

This was a mammoth task and a mammoth vehicle. It has 22″ alloys and, despite me being 6ft tall, I needed a 2ft platform to be able to reach across the roof!

The customer had asked me to concentrate on the paint because of minor defections and the general lack of shine. After talking to the customer about why the finish was so dull it was apparant that poor washing techniques and poor products were to blame after being badly advised by young lads in a high street car store.

At last I have got around to placing a comment (sorry Michael!), well where do I start, first let me describe my frustration. I like a clean shiny car but I am very busy so I always found myself down the local hand car wash maybe three times a week at £8.50 a time! They never did what I call a good job but I hated to see my car dirty. The most frustrating part was when I got time at weekend to wash my car I would see all the ice skating rings, this just depressed me so I would spent a lot of time and money at Halfords trying to find the right product to fix my problem, but my car never looked right after using them. I had every polish / T-cut / Mer / tar remover / Mit / foam the list goes on and on. But it never looked like I thought it should!
So after a lot of wasted time and money I thought, hang on, lets surf the web and see what other people say / do, well the web is even worse than Halfords! But I did find The Polishing Booth and thought I’d give it a try, after I talked to Michael on the phone I booked my car in the day after it was due back from Audi Preston and after a delay from Audi Michael got his hands on it, I popped in to see him as he was working on it and even though it was not finished it was a different car! but the best part about this whole thing is that after talking to Michael and getting his advise I could with confidence throw every polishing aid I had accumulated, apart from the bucket, I then purchased from Michael everything I needed to keep on top of the dirt whilst minimising the inevitable small cleaning scratches, I have a snow foaming kit and all the right equipment to clean my car just once a week and keep it looking good.
If you’re like me with no time but like you’re looking good talk to Michael at the Polishing Booth, Nice, common sense, helpful guy.
