Another Subaru to the Collection
The extent of the tar splatter was quite shocking as the owners road had recently been resurfaced. Here is a bit of a run down of the process I used:
- The wheels were treated with a special product I have and cleaned with a wheel brush.
- It was then snow foamed and power washed off.
- The tar was then treated with a product designed for this however great care needs to be taken as it strips all protection from the paintwork.
- The car washed then two bucket method and then towel dried.
- The paintwork was then treated to a wax cleaner rather than claying as the owner had previously clayed it so there weren’t many bonded contaminents.
- It was then polished with SRP, and a few areas were polished with Menzerna to sort out a couple of paint defects, before the whole car being waxed with Colonite 915 hard wax.
- The whole interior was hoovered and then washed down with Meguiars APC and it removed the marks from the seats and brought the dash up a treat.
This was the tar as a result of the road being resurfaced:

After the tar had been completely removed:

Despite the tar, the car was well cared for…not that this meant it received any lesser attention!:

6 hours later and job done!

The Tar on my car was horrific. The finish was amazing and I am still feeling the benefits of this as all it has needed for a wile now is a basic wash thanks to the wax`s used. Would recommend to anyone and constantly do, will be back soon.
